That said, it has been fun to have a bunch of different guitars and to incrementally trade from something okay to something really great. Or you can essentially have free rental of stuff. Sell for more and use the profit for a DMM found on craiglist = free memory man. Fun to practice setting it up and to play one, even if you don't bond with it.

Treating guitars like commodities is probably not the healthiest way of approaching a tool with which the player ideally connects on some level. So, most of the guitars were: quick inspection, quick play, does it work? Cash and out the door. That generally meant that there is only the one guitar there, take it or leave it. Speaking for myself, I've bought almost all my guitars through the classifieds / craigslist / etc.
